Limerick Juggling Convention
16th June 2006 - 18th June 2006

Coming to a Limerick near you on June 16, 17 & 18:

Friday night

Riddlers pub – Fire night and Registration (City Centre)

Getting there. From the Bus/Train station. Come out the main gate. Turn Right. Walk, Run, Unicycle or Float up the road. Pass the first 'T' Junction on the left and your at a'Y' Junction. Keep Left! Pass the next 'T' Junction on the left and you get to a cross road. Turn Left. This puts you on Williams Street. Head all the way down to the bottom. At the lights cross the road (This is the main street. O Connell street) and keep going. At the next lights, cross the road and keep going, again… Riddlers is on the left.

For those of you who like to wander, get lost, ask for directions and/or drive. Riddlers is on Sarsfield Street. Near O'Connell Street. Across the road from the 'Old Dunnes Stores.

All day Saturday -

Mary Immaculate College hall (TBC)

- Juggling and Twirling and Workshops
- Café with lovely fresh food.

Getting there. From Riddlers. Come out of the pub. Straighten yourself up, turn Right. No, Your other Right. Turn Right again. Walk past the big Church on your right hand side. Pizza place across the road on your left (not bad pizza either). Your on Henry Street now. Keep walking in a straight line until you fall over the College… Seriously. It's a big long road… Just keep going. You'll find it on the right. From the station. Find Riddlers, see above

Or..

Come out of the station. Cross the road and turn right. Walk towards the park and turn Right. Head down that road until you get to a cross road with the main street. This is o Connell street. Cross over. Next street down, parralell to o Connell street is Henry Street. Turn Left. Keep walking. You'll find it. Its 15 mins walk from city centre

Sunday

- Juggling and Twirling and Workshops
- Café with lovely fresh food.
- Games in the afternoon. Including Irish Open Combat Juggling Championships and Experimental Games from the land of giggling and doom!
Boggle and the 'Convention Cafe' will be on site to cater for all your juggly and foodly needs

The best options I can find are student residences which are let during the Summer...
Mention that you are with the Juggling Convention to get the prices I've negotiated.
Remember, the hall is in Mary I (20 mins walk from town), and the Riddler's bar (for meeting up and fire on friday, and renegade on saturday) is in the very centre of town.

This is 5 minutes walk from town, the far side of town from Mary I (hence about a 25 minute walk from Mary I).

Brookfield
This is in Castletroy, a 15 minute bus ride from town (the bus stop is 5 minutes walk from the apartments, there is a bus every hour) they have 2, 3 and 4 bed apartments, prices per night: €64 for a 2 bed apt.
€69 for a 3 bed apt.
€79 for a 4 bed apt.
I haven't managed to negotiate a rate for jugglers here, if you manage to cut a better deal for yourself, please let us know.

Dublin Juggling Convention
10th March 2006 - 12th March 2006

Friday 10th March

Fireshow 8 - 10pm Meeting House Square To be opened with a performance from the wonderful Firepoise and continuing with the convention attendees getting to strut their stuff. Please note, this MUST end at 10pm, so come early, go drinking afterwards.

Saturday 11th March

Registration & workshops in Larkin Hall 10am - 6pm Registration prices: €15 student, €20 gainfully employed. map here NOTE: when you register, make sure to get your ticket for the public show! (It's included)

Also Sat 11th March

Public workshops, SS Michael & John, Temple Bar 1pm - 3pm - free public event for children (and adults) to try out juggling and other props - poi for example. Want to help? Let me know! helen@ejc2006.net

***JUGGLELUTION***
Public Show in the Ambassador Theatre 8pm (doors 7.30pm) The EJC Team are bringing over a host of high quality, international acts for this family friendly professional show. Ticket included in convention registration price for jugglers. Public tickets €15 adults €10 children will be available for sale in the Temple Bar Cultural Information Centre from Monday 6th. A great opportunity to show your friends and parents why you love juggling conventions so much! This event is non-profit and will just (hopefully) pay for itself.

Still Saturday 11th March

Renegade 10.30 venue TBC (but will be near the Ambassador Theatre)

Sunday 12th March

Workshops, Larkin Hall, followed by the games, also in the hall to finish off the convention

Monday 13th March

Call in sick to work with exhaustion.


Belfast Juggling Convention
10th February 2006 - 12th February 2006

There is a juggling convention going on in Belfast (Northern Ireland) at Queens University students union from February 10th to 12th 2006. There will be a decent sized hall and a show in a purpose built circus space on Saturday. All info, map etc can be found at the webpage below.

5th Tralee Juggling Convention 2005
4th November 2005 - 6th November 2005

Friday night 4th November Clubheadbangbang, Greyhound Bar Pembroke St.
Saturday 5th Novenber 9am-3pm KDYS hall Denny St. Same venue as before
Saturday 5th Novenber 4pm-6pm Public Show Siamsa Tire theatre Rock und Roll, Toby Walker will perform at the public show and will do a workshop.
Saturday 5th Novenber evening 7pm-3am Renegade.. McDades Nightclub Castle through courtyard to nightclub. Fire space in courtyard for those so inclined!
Sunday 6th Novenber KDYS hall and town park (just off Denny St.) for games.
